Calendar of Cultural Holidays & Events
To ensure that Wilsonville recognizes cultural holidays and events that hold meaning to community members in historically-marginalized groups, the City's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee has drafted a community calendar.
The DEI Committee is now seeking public input on the draft calendar, which is to help the City acknowledge a wide array of events on social media channels, avoid scheduling conflicts, develop future community events and otherwise help establish a culture of inclusion and belonging for all residents.
You'll note that the calendar doesn't include many dates that generally celebrated among the majority of community members already, such as New Year's Day, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter.

The input received will inform an update to the calendar, which is being forwarded to the City Council to consider for adoption when the project is complete.
