Nov. 17 Meeting

Trees do more than provide natural beauty. Our urban forest provides economic, social, health, and environmental benefits. The City’s Urban Forest Management Plan develops a long-term strategy to grow and protect our forest assets. We seek to maximize the impact of our trees, while simultaneously reducing any tree risk or hazards.

In September, PlanIt Geo and Wilsonville’s Natural Resources Program hosted a community meeting (YouTube) to gain valuable insight from Wilsonville residents about the city’s urban forest. Participants learned about the planning process and provided input on what a successful, sustainable urban forest would look like.

Our second community meeting (YouTube) specifically addressed two urban forest focus areas: Town Center and Charbonneau.

Thanks for your vital participation in these meetings.
