Bike lanes, sidewalks, lighting and car speed

Having lived just off of Brown road for about 5 years, a couple common topics discussed with our neighbors has been around the safety of those using Brown road not in a vehicle, and the lighting and speed issues we see and hear weekly. There are many families, adults and kids that travel on foot and bike around and on Brown road to head to school, see a friend or walk their dog, where better sidewalks would be beneficial, but also so would better lighting. There are few too little street lamps to illuminate bikers and pedestrians that are traveling along or trying to cross Brown.

From Wilsonville road, Brown road leads right into Villebois, a community that follows standard neighborhood speed limits. Our cul-de-sac, which is just off of Brown, hears cars speeding up and down Brown during all parts of the day and night. Another major safety issue that we haven't seen addressed, at least in writing, talks about those that use Brown road as a drag strip. Something feasible, such as speed bumps, would be beneficial as a deterrent from those that decide to asked along this thoroughfare.
