The design of the City's next great neighborhood park has been completed and construction is beginning soon.

This park, located within Frog Pond West just east of the new primary school now under construction on Boeckman Rd., will be about 2.9 acres in size.

The community expressed overwhelming support for the new park, which is being funded with assistance from Metro's Local Share program. After sharing three draft designs, developed by the City with landscape architects from Portland-based Mayer/Reed, the City received feedback from nearly 150 community members. That process has informed the final design you see below.

In February/March 2023, the City shared a virtual house video, followed by a short survey that provided an opportunity for community members to share their preferences. Results were analyzed by the project team, after which architects developed a preferred design that incorporates the community's preferences.

The park plan has been adopted by the Development Review Board and the City Council. Following a successful RFP process, the City entered a contract with GT Landscape Solutions to begin construction in August 2025. The project is expected to take about a year to complete.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the planning of this park. We look forward to delivering this great new amenity soon.
