    Graham Oaks Nature Park . . .

Graham Oaks is one of our favorite walks - this is a beautiful park that will only keep improving as it matures - thank you to the City and especially Charlotte Lehan for all of your efforts in making this park a reality. I can only imagine how it is going to look in 20-30 years as the trees mature - Wow ! Oh yes, a special shout-out to Batman; I feel safer already, knowing that you are by my side as my dog Flynn and I walk through Wilsonville at night ( see "Walking The City at Night" story... My husband and I have always enjoyed this short, woodsy hike. It's a great place to escape the sweltering summer rays.

    Daily walks through Graham Oaks

by Natalie, over 4 years ago

I walk almost every day through the Graham Oaks Nature Park. It has been so healing for the health conditions I have struggled with and helps me feel connected to the community here. Almost every time I see deer, rabbits, different birds, and snakes. I've also enjoyed walking to the farmer's market every week and exploring the homes, watching all the different trees and flowers change with the seasons, and explore the neighborhood parks and trails.

    A leisurely stroll

I’ve now participated in about 10 or so Wednesday walks sponsored by Smart. They are a great way to get out of the office and to meet some really interesting people. I’ve really enjoyed them.

    Murase Plaza and Memorial Park

by Muggle Potter, over 4 years ago

The dog takes me for daily walks in Murase Plaza. We also enjoy taking the trails through the trees and walking around the playing fields of Memorial Park. We occasionally check on the progress of the new dog park and wonder if the steep gravel walkway from Murase Plaza to Kolbe Lane will be upgraded with steps and/or a handrail.

I enjoy taking photos of things that catch my eye while on our walks. Sometimes I capture a wildlife encounter, but most often it's the little things that capture my interest.

    New nature park?

by Clfunk, over 4 years ago

I just love the Graham’s Ferry Nature Park but hate to drive to walk. It sure would be fantastic if Wilsonville had nature park in the Boeckman/Advance area, you know where all the new growth of houses are being built and where the street of dreams houses are. I believe Wilsonville would benefit immensely with a walking path where that’s side of town can enjoy without have to drive to. It would also make Wilsonville even more attractive to future residents as well. I know that it is costly but needed and wanted in the new growth area side of... Continue reading

My favorite time to walk through Wilsonville is at night, so I can defend the City at all times.
